Server Guidelines

1) Respect everyone

We do not tolerate bullying, discrimination, or harassment of any kind within our community. Our goal is to create a fun place for others to come and enjoy their time here without feeling bullied, harassed- or degraded. This will be heavily enforced as it's not hard to be nice! Subtle comments within in-character roleplay are okay but anything that refers to the characters “out of character” life or persona is not tolerated.

2) Respect the staff team
We do not tolerate staff abuse, slander or arguments. If you are given a direction / sanction by a staff member please do not argue with them. If you disagree with the sanction please create a staff ticket on the forums with all relevant information so it can be reviewed. Arguing with the staff member at the time will just make the situation worse, Respect the staff and their time. You are not permitted to impersonate a staff member.

If you wish to report a staff misconduct you can do so under the Staff Ticket section on the forums.

3) Exploiting / Cheating / Executing

The use of third-party programs in order to gain an advantage is strictly prohibited within Apollo Networks. This can range from using blatant cheats or finding an exploit and not reporting it for your own benefit. Duplicating weapons/items, mis-use of commands to display players etc. Apollo Networks upholds the right to revoke your access if you are believed to be involved in such acts, furthermore an investigation would be launched.

4) Mature Themes

There is to be no mature theme type roleplay, this can range from sexual harassment, to suicide roleplay. This one is pretty straight forward. If you need to think if this type of roleplay is allowed its most likely not and other parties involved may not be comfortable during this. Please consider everyone around you when roleplaying to avoid breaking this rule.

5) Reporting Rule Breaks

You are able to make an in-game report against a player or a bug report by utilizing the /report feature. Reports like “admin to me” or “fix my car” will not be answered. If you are unable to use /report for any reason you are able to submit a Player Report on the forums in the support section.

6) Age Restrictions

Every Roleplayed Character within Apollo Networks FiveM Server is 18+.  Apollo Networks has an Out of Character age Restriction of 16+ Anyone under the age of this will be removed from the server.

7) Driving

Unrealistic driving is not tolerated within the server. Vehicles taken off road that are not reasonably capable to do so are unrealistic and expect staff to intervene. When going off road or down tunnels, drive slowly, make slow turns and roleplay your injuries. Drag, sprint and drift vehicles are also monitored, these types of vehicles must be kept on their respective roads, meaning no sprint vehicles should be used off road, on beaches, etc. If carrying people in a vehicle is necessary this must be limited at 1 person carried in the car (not by the driver) and 1 in the boot.
This rule also includes the proper use of vehicles such as flying of planes, helicopters and other air vehicles, you are prohibited from flying such vehicles unless you are an authorized employee of Adrenaline Adventures or EMS.
Carrying on a bike is not permitted. There is no excuse/roleplay reason to carry someone on a bike.
Carrying and driving a vehicle at the same time is not permitted. Utilise the boot feature by using your "third eye" left alt button.
Carrying and hanging off of a vehicle at the same time is not permitted. Utilise the boot feature by using your "third eye" left alt button.

8) Must Have a Mic

When within the Fivem server all players must have a working and sound microphone when roleplaying. The only exception to this would be creating a ticket with a valid reason presented to the staff team.

9) Safe Zones

Certain areas across the map are designated as safe zones, these areas are not to involve any type of hostility, this can include shooting, ramming etc. However, actively involving yourself in hostile rp and then going into the safezone to protect yourself is also against the rules.
Carrying a player out of a safe zone to initiate hostile roleplay is not permitted.

All official whitelisted business' within the server are to be considered safe zones and no hostile roleplay is to be conducted within the businesses' premises.

10) Breaking Character

You are not permitted to speak out of character whilst in city unless you are speaking with staff and they have made it clear that the conversation is out of character. If a member of the staff hears you speaking out of character (OOC) in any way then they have the authority to discipline you under this rule, regardless of the circumstances. OOC should only be used in extreme circumstances.

11) Metagaming

Metagaming is against server rules, and if you are caught, you will be punished far more severely than most other rule violations, regardless of your background, thus it is not worth it. Metagaming is when you use facts that your character hasn't learned while roleplaying in the city. This may entail watching a broadcast or communicating via Discord instead of the city's radios or phones. Being told anything by another player without their character hearing it. One thing to keep in mind is that if you have numerous characters, they can never share information with one another. This involves enlisting the help of a third party to "send" the information.

12) Powergaming

When you utilise unrealistic kinds of roleplay or refuse to roleplay in order to get an edge, this is known as powergaming. For instance, if there is a room or vehicle wall between you and someone else chatting, even though you, as a player, can hear it. You must disregard that knowledge because your character would not. Using crosshairs, third-person cameras to view things your "eyes" couldn't see, and compelling other individuals to commit power gaming offences themselves, such as through the use of their menus, are all examples of similar powergaming crimes. Powergaming is predominately one of the biggest rule breaks that occur in the city. If you ever need to think about what your doing may be powergaming, it most likely is. Using F6 job menus while off duty, using ways of canceling animations/emotes for personal gain etc. Holding shift while attacking with melee is considered "shift punching" and is considered powergaming.

The use of PVP texture packs / files that you add to your FiveM mod folder to enhance your view to remove light, increase distance, bullet tracers etc are considered Powergaming and are not permitted. If you have no idea about what I'm talking about, you have nothing to worry about.

Killing another player and forcing a paramedic to revive them in order to continue the roleplay is considered powergaming. Shooting should be your last resort.
Taking someone to hospital and forcing them to check in and then taking them hostage/rob the player is considered powergaming.

Keybinding actions such as /do steals phone, radio, all communications, duck tapes mouth etc. Are not permitted and must not be binded and used that way. This is considered powergaming, If you wish to engage in this type of roleplay you MUST type them out (yes staff can see whether not its typed or binded).
For eg. "/do takes phone and radio" must be manually typed out.

13) Fear RP/Valuing your life

You must give your character's life meaning; while you may wish for your character to be courageous in all situations, this is unrealistic. Taking equal precautions in game to save your life as you would in real life is known as valuing your life (things like checking left and right before crossing a road). Surrendering if a gun is drawn on you when you have no weapon drawn is an example of this on the server. Avoiding shootouts (don't rush up to them or get in the way), not crashing your automobile into walls, and not leaping off cliffs (claiming to be a daredevil is not a valid explanation). Depending on the circumstances, staff may offer exceptions to this rule to select organizations that are permitted to flee rather than allow themselves (or their equipment) to be seized. If you are operating a vehicle at the time where a lethal weapon is drawn on you, if your vehicle is turned on and running you are permitted to flee the scene while you have the weapon aimed at you however if your vehicle is turned off and you are being asked to step out, being intimidated by a weapon you must fear for your life and follow directions from the offender. You are not permitted to run the player over if your vehicle is on and u are fleeing, Understandably you may knock a player over in the process however purposely running someone over will find you in a breach of the VDM rule.

This includes baiting a reaction or forcing an interaction with an Organisation.
This includes baiting a reaction or forcing an interaction with Police.
You must value your life while being robbed / at gun-point, this includes being compliant with demands, directions.
You must comply with unlocking your vehicle if you are at gun-point.

14) New Life Rule

The new life rule comes in place when your character has been murdered and has not been attended to by either an on duty member of Ambulance Victoria or Fire Rescue Victoria. You may only remember the events of your death when you are revived by one of the two. Your friend picking up your dead body and taking you to hospital does not refresh your memory. You will need to roleplay as if you have woken up in hospital and do not remember the events to your death. If someone witnessed your death and proceeds to tell you the events after once you have woken up in hospital is acceptable. This is a heavily enforced rule and needs to be followed with precision. Understandably mistakes happen. You are unable to tell the people around you what has happened / lead to your death once you are on the death screen. You may only roleplay your injuries and not give out names or descriptions.
For eg. You have been involved in a shoot-out, you make a radio call to your friends of your location but before you can tell them who is involved you get incapcitated. Your friends can arrive however you are unable to tell them who shot you.

If an emergency services member does not arrive within 20 minutes of your death, Regardless if you have been picked up by them you are not permitted to remember the lead up to your death due to the extensive time.

15) Criminal Crews/Organizations

Crews within the city are limited to 7 people max and must be registered within the Apollo Criminal discord. Criminal Organisations are whitelisted groups limited at 20 members max and must be approved by staff, leaders of these organisations must be whitelisted within the server, applications for organisations are found on the website.

16) Roleplaying Injuries

You must roleplay your injuries in the server as if it was to happen to you in real life. If you are shot in the chest, your breathing would be short, you would be in quite some distress. Communicating your injuries and or using /me to the paramedics is the first step to roleplaying your injuries. You must also continue to roleplay your injuries as you are revived and transported. You must roleplay the initial injuries that you had completely until you check in at the nearest hospital (hospital heal script). You are not permitted to roleplay having a broken leg, get revived by a paramedic and proceed to jump up and run away before the police can cuff you and or not follow the directions from the paramedic and proceed to the hospital.  You MUST roleplay your injuries to the complete extent. This includes high speed car crashes, if you crash your vehicle at a high speed you must pull over and “take a breather” roleplay your injuries and continue. This does not mean you can crash your car going 300 into a pole, make a gasping sound and then speed off again. The severity of your injuries are a case by case basis.

17) Hostile Roleplay Restrictions

Hostile interactions involving shoot-outs, kidnappings, robberies and all the above are limited to 7 (seven) players per interaction. Whitelisted organizations are exempt to this rule and are allowed to have the maximum amount of numbers during the interaction.

There must be a minimum of 2 police officers on duty in order to engage in hostile role-play, the use of guns during large scale fights, etc. This is due to change overtime as the server grows. Remember shooting someone is your last resort.

There must be a minimum of 4 police officers on duty in order to rob other players of their items.

There must be a minimum of 4 police officers to engage in a store robbery / bank robbery.

You are not permitted to rob any emergency services workers for any of their items. (Ambo, Fire & Police)

There must be a minimum of 6 police officers on duty in order to take a police officer hostage in an attempt to free someone from custody etc. Be creative.

All official whitelisted business' within the server are to be considered safe zones and no hostile roleplay is to be conducted here

18) Random Deathmatch

Attacking another person at random without first participating in any type of verbal roleplay is against server rules. Killing someone should be the last resort; instead, consider kidnapping, threats, or other similar role-plays. Be inventive. Staff will use the RDM rule to penalise you if they feel you have not tried all other sources of RP before attempting to murder a player. It is a breach of the RDM rule to rob a player and then murder then if they have been compliant. You are not permitted to rob a player and shoot them with the intent to purely wipe their memory. This will be heavily enforced.

19) Vehicle Deathmatch

Utilising your vehicle as a weapon to harm or murder another player is strictly prohibited. You are unable to utilise your vehicle as a weapon during any forms of roleplay, attempting to “pit” maneuver another vehicle is acceptable at low speeds. Before attempting to pit maneuver another vehicle you need to take into account the speed you are going and if this will be a violation of the realistic driving rule.

20)

A must win attitude will not be tolerated, Its roleplay at the end of the day. You will be bound to have “wins and loss”.

21) The use of "Bodycameras"

- A visible bodycamera must be seen in any footage that has been sent to police for any type of evidence.

- You are not permitted to use your bodycam as evidence after dying / being revived. Once you go down your bodycam is destroyed and unuseable.
- You can roleplay destroying another players bodycam while they are still alive and it will have the same affect as if the player was dead. "Bodycam has been destroyed and unusable"
- You must type out the /do destroys bodycam, you are not permitted to keybind this as its too easily abused and is considered powergaming.
- A) You are not permitted to roleplay using security footage from certain buildings / business's
- B) Police are permitted to roleplay using security footage from a Police Station and ONLY a Police Station.

22) Robbing Players

Robbing other players is permitted in city provided there has been previous interaction or engagement amongst the parties involved. All RP based hostile scenarios must be calculated and clearly communicated. Opportunistic robbing, being simply using the ‘take hostage’ emote or jumping into another players vehicle and driving off and/or entering their boot without context, is considered fail RP. Players with the sole intent to rob others to financially benefit themselves, or those who constantly perform a string of robberies, will be instructed to alter their role-play or given the ultimatum before being removed. The discretion remains the decision of Staff.
